Obverse: Bismarck's third volume of his 'Reflections and Reminiscences' is shown bound in chains with Wilhelm's imperial Crown next to it. Inscription, "Bismarck's Vermaechtnisdem deutchen Volke" (Bismarck's legacy to the German people).
Reverse: As instructed by Wilhelm, who hides under the table to the right, the Imperial Judge stands by Bismarck's book and holds back the German Michel saying, "Nicht fuereuch Deutsche" (Not for you Germans). K•G in exergue.

Bismarcks "Gedanken und Erinnerungen", Volume III, was very critical of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The Imperial courts had forbidden the publishing of the volume until 1918. The book came out in 1921 after the former Kaiser exiled himself to Holland. This medal comments on it.
