1914 Cast bronze medal, 57.6mm, 58.40g, Frankenhuis 1423.

 

 

Obverse:  France personified by "La Semeuse" after Roty, sowing serpents under the light of a sword-rayed sun. In border, "Rache saetest du bei Zeiten schon" (You have already sowed revenge before). At bottom rim edge is incised "Nach Roty" (after Roty).

 

 

Reverse:  The Gallic coq defecates on a scroll of "Genfer Konvention" (The Geneva Convention). On the side, three Dum-Dum cartridges. In border, "ALLEN·SPEKT! VOR DER, GRANDE NATION" (All respect for the Great Nation).
