ITALY'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE TRIPLE ALLIANCE

Obverse: A German and Austrian soldier pushing a Bersagliere (Italian marksman) who is holding the Tripolis Deed under his arm. Inscription, "Dreibundschmarotzer - Treubund ver rotzer" (Three Allied Parasites - Alliance of Faith Destroyers). KG in exergue.

 

 

Reverse: The German-Austrian double-headed eagle attempts to fight off "Italy's" "Italien's Politik der freien Hand" (The free hand of Italian politics) while "Russia" attempts to capture it by grabbing its feet. Dated 1915.
